Our SLOW Journey
About Us​
SLOW Philanthropy was founded by the Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi Foundation for Policy Research, a philanthropic organization based in the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and founded in 2009. The Al Qasimi Foundation operates multiple programs to serve the needs of the local community in Ras Al Khaimah as well as the wider UAE.
Our Philanthropic Projects
Over the past decade, the Al Qasimi Foundation has implemented many research projects around philanthropy. We also have an extensive agenda focusing on philanthropy and asset-based community development, including our founding of the Philanthropy and Education Special Interest Group operating under the Comparative and International Education Society, hosting a conference on philanthropy and education in the GCC, and publishing numerous papers on the topic of philanthropy.
